As Cocoa Beach photographers we love shooting session by the Cocoa Beach Pier. Cocoa Beach Pier is perched over 800 feet above the Atlantic Ocean and has long been the cultural and entertainment hub of Florida's Space Coast. Fishing and surfing are popular activities, and there are plenty of gift shops scattered throughout the pier. Rent an umbrella and lounge chair to relax by the beach, or sit at a tiki bar and enjoy a bite of fish and fries while feeling the cool ocean breeze and watching pelicans swim by. You can also watch the rocket launch from Cape Canaveral's air base, so make sure to check the launch times and plan accordingly.
